The 7 stars represent the seven sister’s.tane the god of nature was jealous about something then through something And Cracked turned into the 7  stars.matariki is a new  year for Maori.

Why maori people celebrate their new year on matariki and we celebrate on the first of january and  Why There are 7 star in the sky in the morning .

I have lean that also maori people cook traditional food like islanders.i have learn that maori people cook fry bread.

Book week

It book week and it was so cool because we had a lot's of thing to do. Like quiz is like you have to answers the question and toondoo is like a comic. On Friday it book week we had costume day. We had to dress up like characters. The teacher's was taking picture's with our class room and then we went to the hall. Some people got prizes. Andrea was organising the hall me and some other people from my class helping Andrea.


Some people form my class got the prizes.we had challenges There was prizes for the challenges. Some teachers and the  teacher helper's did a show and  Kevin was the king,Salome was the queen and Jerry was the bad fairy and the maid was Paulia and Bryan was the gardener and Razain was the little girl! They did a great job!

Samoan language week

When it was Samoan language week lots of people were in the Hall celebrating Samoa language week James was scraping the inside of the coconut James told me to come and have a taste of the coconut if it was nice or not then it was now for the coco sili and Mamere was showing me how to make coco Samoa then they told me to have a taste of and then i said it was to sweet but it was kind of nice

new market school

Last week the Newmarket came to our school  they are all New Zealanders Half Maori One was Samoan Mrs Brian Told us to go and  introduce ourselves. Then we started to walk down

To the harakeke forest.When we got I was doing the cutting i was helping the new market school to cut the flax Mrs Barton was showing me how to cut it in one slice we cut about 220 flax I think

Grace was going round giving this fake  germs to us then she told us to rub our hand round she had two light that you can see where the germs are hiding then she told to go to the bathroom and sing happy birthday 2 time.	Grace was telling us that we must blow our nose 5 times with a tissue. And she also told us not to wipe our nose on our clothes because it is disgusting and your friends won't like you because he giving other people  germs.
